The bed is great! The only thing that was frustrating was that it was advertised as the lowest price and had a 24 hour window to get the offer so I took it. I found out two days later that the Bed went on sale for a lower price and when I contacted customer service, they were unwilling to match that price or even let me return the bed and get my money back and then order the Bed at the lower price. I am ultimately happy with it and it does what I need. There is a lengthy construction process with 44 steps and a tone of screws; i definitely benefited from gentle use of a power drill for some steps while others needed to be done by hand. there is one type of diagram - that shows how to install the sliding tracks that is initially very hard to interpret. but taking my time and having a second pair of hands for the first half of construction made it work and its more or less exactly what I wanted for the space. eventually when I habe a bigger budget I would prefer hardwood but this is a reasonable solution for a small space. This is a recent purchase, but so far I am very pleased with the bed. It seems to be very solid for the price we paid & it supports our large mattress very well so that when my much larger husband moves, there is very little disturbance on my side of the bed. I like the fact that there is a support board between the 2 posts at the head of the bed. I think that helps stabilize it & would suggest anyone looking for a bed consider that.. Charlene. It is beautiful and feels heavy and stable. It does not squeak or move around. I placed the bed on the carpet and the drawers still move in and out easily. Drawers are made of solid wood. I have had other similar beds where the drawers are made of plastic. I am glad that I paid someone to install it because it took a pro more than an hour.
