I initially ordered these in black, as I was expecting the light versions to not block enough light for my husband’s man cave of an office. (He likes total darkness in the room...weirdo!) I’ve purchased at least four types of “blackout curtains” that totally let light in, but was pleasantly surprised that these actually work. I exchanged the black ones for the Stone color and will be keeping them. As a heads up, these curtains are very satiny, which makes them appear quite feminine and glam. I almost returned them because they looked completely out of place in the dark, manly office. However, after chucking them in the dryer (high, 20 minutes) to get the fold lines out, I accidentally hung one panel upside down, with the rod going through what should be the bottom hem. While this probably won’t fly for those who care greatly for interior design, it totally works for us— the lack of ruffles on the top makes them look way less fancy, and more appropriate for a manly space. So, if you buy them and think, “Shoot. These look ridiculously fancy for this room,” try flipping them! These Roman shades arrived within 2 days after ordering. They are high quality and do block the sun however when you mount them outside the window light comes in at the sides so I will have to use curtains also to cover that gap. It definitely is very blackout. I thought the package comes with two panels but it is only one panel. Quality is good but it picks up every possible dirt and hair so it gets dirty easy coming right out of the package. Both ends have sufficient room for a curtain rod. I’m giving this lower stars only because of the color expectations. Quality is great! Love the actual make of these, and the grommets. I put them through the wash, and they are drying fast (pic attached, its still drying). Ordered White Dove. The actual color is more like a light silver with bluer undertones.. Jennifer.
