The whole thing leans a bit toward the front. I would suggest using museum tack to keep any decorative objects on the shelves. The welds aren't perfect, kinda rough. Well, this is exactly what I wanted. I'm very disappointed in the woodgrain "look", and the fact that some of it was peeling off the particle board as I was trying to put it together. Also, the directions are extremely poor! They don't show front/back, or any of that. IT was very confusing and difficult to put together. It has "a b c d e f g", et cetera on all of the pieces listed in the catalog, but the only things that were marked on the items to put together was a and b. Very disappointing! I bought two and put them on either end of a tv shelf unit, floating. I have a very tiny space so I installed to the long entry hall. I use it to paint and with the addition of baskets use to store art supplies These bookshelves work well the 9 inch depth lets them fit easily in the hall spaces. I absolutely love this vinyl record shelf! It was easy to assemble, feels sturdy, and holds a great collection of records while keeping everything organized.
