Overall I am happy with this comforter set. It is a good thickness. Not too heavy, not too light. I would say “chenille” stripe is not accurate. It’s more of a terry-cloth texture. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this to use in my guest room and it works fine. I can add an insert if needed for warmth, otherwise I just use it for light bed covering. Overall, it’s okay but not my favorite. The duvet is more of a creamy white while the shams are definitely a brighter white. I think the stripes are oddly placed: at the top where you’d have the sham and at the bottom with a sea of creamy white in between—definitely doesn’t look like the image from when I ordered, which had way more stripes and better placement of them. Also i am not a fan of “decorative” pillows that are added to bedding sets. They serve no purpose, are odd sizes, and are too matchy.
