I purchased this mattress to replace a older memory foam that did not have the gel memory foam. It was 2:00 pm when it was delivered. I unpacked this mattress and put it on my bed. I know you are suppose to wait 24-48 hours for it to expand and decompress. The first night it felt very soft and I thought oh no. The next night it had firmed up and was absolutely perfect. I slept all night and didn't wake up hot or sweaty. The third night it was more comfortable than I could have ever imagined. Do yourself a favor and purchase this mattress. I got the 14" because I have a lot of deep pocket sheet sets. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend to family and friends. Thank you Comforpedic Loft!. Richard. So far, so great! The smell is not overt nor unbearable, and I am told that the mattress immediately inflated to its size. The first night it was okay for comfort, and excellent with cooling(I sleep hot normally) and the second night was perfect comfort. It is mediumfirm and normally I prefer firm but as this is my first memory foam, its perfect for me. I woke up refreshed and not in pain. I have severe back issues, surgery on Left L45S1 laminectomy when I was 29. Its a very nice looking mattress, as well. I was concerned about no longer having a pillowtop mattress, but I can say that I do not miss it. I will update in 98 days if I still love it or if I exchanged it, which is a wonderful Wayfair feature to have when you buy a mattress from them. This is what tipped me in their favor. Mattress came quickly and I was very happy with that. Still very happy with the mattress, and it has been 2 years. I got an adjustable base a year ago and it works good with that. After almost 8 months it's still perfect for us, No sagging. It was highly rated by consumer reports and they mentioned that it's on the firmer side which we wanted. Since we have had such bad luck choosing mattresses from local stores that we have gone and tested, we decided to take a chance on this one online. So glad we did! Nice and firm with no indentations where we sleep so far. I'll update if anything changes. We also liked the Wayfair guarantee and their customer service is good as well. Edit to update: I love this mattress and am updating my review from 4 to 5 stars. It is so comfortable. I'm not waking up to reposition in the night. No hip pain. I'm not having issues with being too hot or cold. I'm very happy with this mattress. This mattress came rolled up in a box. Unrolling it was easy. As soon as air got into the plastic, it started filling up and was full-size within a few minutes. It comes with a cover with a zipper, which is nice. I would say it's medium-soft. I love the 16 inch height and this is firm but soft and supportive! when you lay on this your first reaction is oh this is firm but just soft enough. husband and I sleep great.making the bed up every morning si easier all the sheets stay in place. This mattress is a beautiful mattress to lay your eyes upon with its creative design and appealing color pattern. The mattress looks and feels upscale in many ways. This mattress has given both my wife and I amazing sleep and rest on a regular basis. Previously we had a 10 year old mattress that was mid tier pricing but we thought it was comfortable. This new Beautyrest Black Hybrid surpasses any mattress I have ever laid down on. The comfort level is amazing and well deserved after a long day of work or play. The mattress has a bold 13.5” height and looks great when it sits upon the bed frame in my bedroom. The feel of relaxation on your body when you lay down on this mattress is a feeling of rest and relief. I love the soft absorbing feel as I lay down and the bed absorbs my body weight of appx. 165 lbs. into its layers of memory foam. This bed has a combination of air cooled memory foam, comfort layers, latex, energy foam, and also pocketed coil technology built into it. The edges of the bed hold up well so that when you're sitting on the edge of it the bed doesn't collapse, but instead holds its shape and firmness. All of this technology takes a lot of pressure off of my sore and achy body to give me the best night of sleep I could ask for. The bed also will allow for peaceful sleep with my wife not being disturbed by my early wake ups, or late night sleeping. The biggest item I noticed was that my low back, neck, and shoulders all benefited from the patented foam and could technology.
