What a great memory foam mattress! It was easy to unwrap and extend open. I waited 24hrs to allow full air expansion. I purchased this mattress to replace a older memory foam that did not have the gel memory foam. It was 2:00 pm when it was delivered. I unpacked this mattress and put it on my bed. I know you are suppose to wait 24-48 hours for it to expand and decompress. The first night it felt very soft and I thought oh no. The next night it had firmed up and was absolutely perfect. I slept all night and didn't wake up hot or sweaty. The third night it was more comfortable than I could have ever imagined. Do yourself a favor and purchase this mattress. So far, so great! The smell is not overt nor unbearable, and I am told that the mattress immediately inflated to its size. The first night it was okay for comfort, and excellent with cooling(I sleep hot normally) and the second night was perfect comfort. It is mediumfirm and normally I prefer firm but as this is my first memory foam, its perfect for me. I woke up refreshed and not in pain. I have severe back issues, surgery on Left L45S1 laminectomy when I was 29. Its a very nice looking mattress, as well. I was concerned about no longer having a pillowtop mattress, but I can say that I do not miss it. I will update in 98 days if I still love it or if I exchanged it, which is a wonderful Wayfair feature to have when you buy a mattress from them. This is what tipped me in their favor. Mattress came quickly and I was very happy with that. Still very happy with the mattress, and it has been 2 years. I got an adjustable base a year ago and it works good with that. We have had 4 mattresses in the past year (one from Amazon with 5-stars, a Black BeautyRest, a Leesa and now this one). We are very particular about mattresses. My husband and I both sleep hot. We had begun to give up hope on finding a mattress that we both love. The first night we got it we slept like rocks and didn't want to get up. Now we were both exhausted so I didn't want to jinx it and get too excited. Night 2, slept amazingly well and again didn't want to get up the next morning! My husband said, "I know it is early but I give that mattress 10 stars!" He works so hard at his job and at home so I am thrilled he and I both love this mattress. I will start by saying I’ve been a fan of Novaform toppers for years, but decided to give this one a try. Being that it is tempur-pedic, I had high hope and to be honest, I’m a little disappointed with it. I feel like it sags in areas that you’re prone to laying in and from my past experience with others, it shouldn’t do that. I’ve had it a month and have already had to rotate it. I also don’t spend a lot of time in bed, other than at night. It does retain heat and I find myself waking up very sweaty. I’ve been having severe back, neck, hip, and shoulder pain for the past year or so due to my pillow top mattress. It just recently got replaced with a new 10 inch memory foam, which seemed to help, but I’d still wake up feeling worse than when I went to bed. I was very excited to try out a gel mattress topper, specifically a Sealy since I’ve been seeing so many commercials from the lately. When it came in the mail I was so excited. I cut open the plastic wrap and unrolled it. The topper was frozen!! It stayed in the frozen position for about an hour. Was legit solid as a rock, but it had sat outside about 12 hours in 20 degree weather, so I understood why. I turned on the heat and left it alone, in about two hours it was fully inflated. My first impression laying on it was oh my god this is firm!! But then you slowly start to fall into the mattress topper as it conforms to your body. It literally gives you so much support I didn’t have to use a pillow because it was supporting my neck while letting my head sink in.
