What a great memory foam mattress! It was easy to unwrap and extend open. I waited 24hrs to allow full air expansion. It feels great, I slept like a baby, it instantly helped with my lower back issues ( guess I needed a new mattress). So far, so great! The smell is not overt nor unbearable, and I am told that the mattress immediately inflated to its size. The first night it was okay for comfort, and excellent with cooling(I sleep hot normally) and the second night was perfect comfort. It is mediumfirm and normally I prefer firm but as this is my first memory foam, its perfect for me. I woke up refreshed and not in pain. I have severe back issues, surgery on Left L45S1 laminectomy when I was 29. Its a very nice looking mattress, as well. I was concerned about no longer having a pillowtop mattress, but I can say that I do not miss it. I will update in 98 days if I still love it or if I exchanged it, which is a wonderful Wayfair feature to have when you buy a mattress from them. This is what tipped me in their favor. Mattress came quickly and I was very happy with that. Still very happy with the mattress, and it has been 2 years. I got an adjustable base a year ago and it works good with that. I purchased this mattress to replace a older memory foam that did not have the gel memory foam. It was 2:00 pm when it was delivered. I unpacked this mattress and put it on my bed. I know you are suppose to wait 24-48 hours for it to expand and decompress. The first night it felt very soft and I thought oh no. The next night it had firmed up and was absolutely perfect. I slept all night and didn't wake up hot or sweaty. The third night it was more comfortable than I could have ever imagined. Do yourself a favor and purchase this mattress. I got the 14" because I have a lot of deep pocket sheet sets. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend to family and friends. Thank you Comforpedic Loft!. Richard. If you are a side/stomach sleeper this will feel amazing! This is a medium to soft mattress which is the perfect firmness if you have hip or back pain. Nice amount of curve hugging, without feeling like you are sinking. Box arrived without damage in 3 days and it was just as I expected. I got the king size, so it was a 2 person job. We took it out of the box in the driveway, carried it up the steps, placed it on the existing box spring, and then followed the instructions. There are 2 plastic wraps. The mattress was folded in half, so we unfolded it, and cut off the second plastic wrap. It went from completely flat and too small to over 12" tall and perfect from corner to corner in less than one minute. This hybrid is replacing a less than a year old cool gel style 12" foam only mattress. We noticed an immediate difference from the gel to this hybrid. It feels much softer, more like a pillow top, but still with the edge firmness to be able to put socks and shoes on from the sides/end. There is a smell when unwrapping (not unpleasant), but it went away very quickly and after an hour it is not noticeable. I think this is very normal for the foam mattress styles. After sleeping uncomfortably on a gel mattress (another brand) we are excited to wake up without body aches! This is better than I had hoped, I will update this if it is anything less than 5 stars.. I could not be more delighted and impressed with the Serta Plush Polyester Heated Mattress Pad! What an brilliant idea! I have had many electric blankets over the years and though they can certainly help keep you warm during cold nights you can always feel the lumpy line of wiring that is really not very beneficial for a comfortable night’s rest. To add, if you are anything like us and let our pets curl up with us the risk for wire damage is always present. Some of those electric blankets only had one or two settings. This one has TEN!!! I love that it goes on the mattress like a mattress pad cover under the fitted sheet. The wiring is much smaller, more flexible, and does not feel lumpy. No worries with having any furry friends for a sleep over! The fabric is like velour. It is so very soft. The mattress pad cover fits our queen size mattress perfectly with plenty enough reach to be secure over the sides. It is a bright white and looks pristine on the mattress. It comes with TWO controllers so that means there are dual adjustment capabilities- not just one – again quite a nice design if there are two sleepers with different preferences for warmth. It warms evenly. There are no hot spots. But wait, there’s more! There is a timer that allows you to have it automatically shut off. To add, there are reinforced slots on the underside of the blanket for the power cords of the controllers to be inserted through. The connectors make a solid connection to the power cord and are designed to not pull apart without an intentional effort. So, no worries that the heated mattress pad cover could become disconnected during use. You know what is even better? It is machine washable! The only thing that was odd, and I believe it may be a typo, is that the description states it is 15” thick. It is not even 1 inch thick. So disregard that part of the description. It is a lightweight fabric that may be closer to a quarter inch thick.
