To be honest, I don't know why I needed these, but I did. I still don't know, but I love them.
The prints arrived packaged sufficiently with corner protectors and plastic wrap (still on in picture). The prints are on a canvas material nicely glued on to an mdf backing or something and mounted in a wood frame. they are light and should mount easily. I ordered the larger size, and they are true to size.
