This ironing board cabinet is a smart space-saving solution. The cabinet is installed 3.5” into the wall, leaving a little more than 4 inches of cabinet sticking out from the wall. The cabinet can be installed with the cabinet door opening on the left or right, so you can install it on the side that makes the most sense for your space. The cabinet’s door exterior is a finished white that can be left as is or painted to match other cabinets in your space. Inside the cabinet is an ironing board that measures 11.75” wide and 41” long, large enough for comfortable ironing while still being small enough to not take up too much space. The ironing board can rotate a full 90 degrees to the right or left, giving you the flexibility to position the board in the most comfortable and convenient space in whatever area you install the cabinet in. The cabinet also has a built-in height adjustment slot for the board, allowing you to raise or lower the board two inches at any time after installation. The board includes a one-piece construction cover and pad with bungee cord binding and stain and scorch-resistant coating for superior durability. In addition to the ironing board, the cabinet has two interior shelves to house a small iron and/or ironing accessories. The top interior shelf has heat-resistant paneling to protect the shelf when stowing irons that are still warm. Additionally, the top corner of the cabinet door has a dual-pronged hook so you can hang up freshly ironed items or items to be ironed. Cabinet must be installed in-wall between 16-inch on center studs. Ironing board opens 11 inches above bottom of cabinet, so keep that in mind when selecting height for cabinet installation. Cabinet door extends 28.5” from wall with door open and 44.5” from wall with ironing board extended straight forward. Interior of the cabinet measures 13.25” W x 5.375” D. Shelves are shallower than full cabinet depth.

The instructions were easy to follow, I outlined all measurements, prepped the cabinet and the next day we finished the install. It was a nice tight fit, all pieces were used, which is always a good thing. Somehow I always end up with extra screws. The only hang up was that when I looked down the inside of the wall I noticed we had electrical running right through where my outline was. So we adjusted the cabinet and moved it a little higher to not interrupt the electric. Its higher that the instructions but it still works. Just beware of possible wires once you open the wall up. PRO’S Product arrived quickly with no damage fully assembled. I find the cabinet to be “almost” everything I’d been looking for. Cabinet material is a composite pressed wood, but made well very sturdy. I’m 69 yrs young was able to mount hang the cabinet by myself (a little bulky to handle though). The cabinet dimensions are as follows 36” Tall x 14” Wide x 7” Deep...S Pic 7 for Shelf heights. The ironing board Size design is good. CONS Neither of my Irons will Fit inside the cabinet. I can’t stand up my spray starch on any shelf. Spectacular Space Saver..! Installation was a piece of cake. Reason why I purchased this particular item? As with all married folk there is forever differences & opinions on how things should look in the household. Having an ironing board, iron, electrical cords, starch & water spritzer's, etc. as permanent fixtures in the Master Bedroom really didn't work for me. Soooo, I initiated an internet search & found your right practical 'Iron & Fold Built in Ironing Board' & I smiled. Purchased it; not to make a point, but to utilize space. Put the Missus's regular ironing board into the laundry room where it should have been housed in the first place. She hasn't said so but I think she likes it. The history behind the purchase is one thing for sure. However, the 'Iron & Fold' is a wonderful and thoughtful piece of engineering for those of us living in smaller quarters. It works beautifully! The Iron away Iron boards complete system are excellent. Have installed many of these units over the years and they are made well, always work and the customers has always been happy. The timers are a must for safety issues. The model in photos is the unstained Red Oak finish. It was stained and two coats of Poly urethane were applied. The handle was also added for the customer. The unit easily installs between standard stud wall framing, typically 14 1/2" as unit is smaller at 14". Installation works best if installed above electrical outlet.. Larry. I was so excited to have this up I couldnt wait for the sheetrock repair to be done before taking a picture. (It was necessary to cut a hole for pulling electric to the unit. Get a good electrician- mine cut a way too large a hole.) I got a flat panel door to match my cabinets, which is finished in a white laminate. Unfortunately, as you can see the cabinet sides are unfinished, which was very disappointing for the price. The instructions show that you may need trim where it meets the wall. I did not need as I trimmed my space well and the studs were perfectly spaced to fit. I assume it was left unfinished for that reason. I would like it to be laminated to match the door. The cabinet holds the iron and accessories. It has a built-in timer to turn on power to the unit as well as a trigger switch that turns it off when you close it. Since most laundry rooms lack sufficient task light, I wanted this unit for the task lighting. It is great! Too bad since working from home, I dont have much laundry to iron these days.. Mary Jo.
