We had an old school washer from 1996, the year I got my driver’s license. It was a beast but it finally died a slow death. We were super skeptical of a newer washer, using so little water, being able to get the clothes clean. I am very happy to say this washer actually does a great job. With that said, there are some things to think about (which we did not) prior to purchase. If you are short in stature (I’d say 5’3” or less), this machine is really, really deep and though it holds a boat load of clothes, it also requires an acrobatic feat to reach the clothes at the bottom of the washer tub. Current solution here has been standing on a stool to reach in or using BBQ tongs to grab the clothes out. While I chuckle as I write this, it’s really super annoying on a daily basis. So, bigger is not always better, especially when you aren’t a tall human.
