Unlike zero twist towels where the cotton yarns are twisted with a PVA yarn (Plastic fiber), the yarn is twisted without any plastic yarns, so they are more environmentally friendly. In zero twist towels, the PVA is melted in a later stage where the plastic is dissolved in the water and this is an environmental hazard.

Update: It took several washes before they quit leaving lint on my body and the wash cloths faded a lot and are not very soft, not the end of the world. Overall, not bad but not the best. These have been pretty good. Only washed once and they have left lint on the body when drying after a shower, but they are fairly thick and soft.
