Elegant, modern, versatile, great value for the price I was first attracted to the styling on these because they are elegant, yet modern and not fussy. They’ll go with whatever set of dishes you have, or if you’re like me and you have all sorts of dishes, this pattern goes with them all. Other pluses are they go in the dishwasher, and they’re stainless steel, so they stay nice and shiny without any need for polishing or wiping. They’re made from forged steel, which is a heavier gauge and allows better definition in the pattern details; these are not the cheapie stamped forks you would get at the school cafeteria. They’re generously sized, so they will fit masculine hands just fine, and they are properly weighted so they are easy to hold and balance. Have you ever picked up a fork and had to fight with it because the balance was off? These are balanced. Regarding the sizing, let’s say you have a small bowl of salad to share at the table (I show a bowl of broccoli salad here); you can use the soup spoon and dinner fork as serving pieces for the salad, if you like. The size difference between the dinner fork and salad fork allows each person to choose what they are comfortable with. It might sound petty, but my husband never wants to use a salad fork…it feels too small for him, so he will always choose the dinner fork, whereas I usually choose the salad fork. I say to each his own! These are a great value for the price, I think.. Dorothy. Malibu, CA. 2018-11-12 17:56:47
