Great pot for making grape leaves with my mom. It was a Christmas gift as this pot was a close replica of one her past favorites that at this point needed an upgrade. Not as heavy as some pots, good side height for smaller soup recipes or steaming and roasting. This pot fits nicely in the cabinets though is often on the stove top with its multiple uses!. Thomas. I got this in the 1.5 qt. size and you can see what a standard 15.5 oz can of food looks like in there for scale. I've had this 3 years now and can say Tramontina's tri-ply is really good quality. I'm not sure why they don't seem to get as much attention as brands like Calphalon, but they should. I also have a Tramontina 8" tri-ply skillet and it performs really well, too.
