Today we use these tree stumps and trunks to create beautiful, handcrafted pieces for your home. Coloring, cracks, and shapes will vary between items. Suitable for indoor use only. This item ships fully assembled in one piece. Due to the live edges of the piece, each is unique, so no two products will have an identical pattern, shade, or cut. Maximum weight limit is 200 lbs. My old cutting boards were several years old and one of them had started to crack. With the Thanksgiving Black Friday sales going on, I decided to take advantage of the sale and purchased two of the Tramontina teak cutting boards. ONE of the TWO that arrived was cracked in two and appeared to have been damaged during shipping. The damage was not the responsibility of Tramontina or Wayfair. Please see picture of damaged box. Wayfair's customer service was easy to work with and made it easy to get a refund. The second cutting arrived undamaged. I have two critiques. First, the cutting board is not perfectly flat and unleveled by about 1.5 millimeters (approximately 1/18 of an inch). The second critique I have for this cutting board is that the grooves on the edges of the cutting board were not finished and smooth. I am still giving this item 5 stars. This is a very large and beautiful cutting board that I think most people will like and therefore recommend. Each board is chosen from a locally sourced tree out of Wooster, Ohio. These trees have gorgeous natural grain patterns. Our boards are not stained but conditioned only to preserve the natural beauty of the piece while making it virtually waterproof and acceptable for food purposes.

This cutting board was inspired by the original boos butcher blocks that were made from a solid piece of hardwood. their product is as close to nature as you can get and has a unique story.
