This TV stand was the perfect size unit for what I was needing in my upper living room space, but some pros and cons to consider Pros - Shipped fast and was packaged really well. Fragile components like the glass doors and fireplace unit arrived without damage, even though the boxes were a bit beat up. - Looks amazing and the material was actually thicker and a nicer wood than what I was expecting for this. It is a soft, but hardy pressed wood material and didnt feel like typical cheap particular board that would disintegrate on contact. - The cabinet assembled easily and I was able to put together the components that the instructions said required two installers by myself just fine. - instructions for the cabinet build were straightforward and the build not difficult (though a little time consuming - not out of the ordinary for a piece this size). Cons - The fireplace installation instructions were very vague and I had to reference the product listing online to try and figure out where some components needed to go. Difficult to install that portion and the instructions were not intuitive. - The electric fire pattern does not match what is shown in the website images. Less overall flames and more light flicker flame lookalikes instead. Not the end of the world but not what was expected. - One of the pre-drilled holes was at an upward angle resulting in a piece of the board splintering up and getting damaged in the upper shelves when I input the screw in the existing hole. First of all I love it! I could not believe though that the shelves were not made of clear glass so the lights illuminate both the top and bottom. So I bought two 11X14 picture frames, cheap at the dollar store, and used just the glass and the frame as shelves. They fit perfectly. I then used one of the wood shelves as a base for my subwoofer.
