I'm delighted with this purchase. I have new cabinets in my kitchen and one was a drawer that was to hold two trash cans, one for trash and one for recycling. However they did not come with the cans. In searching several websites for cans that would fit, all seemed to be too big or way too small. On Wayfair's site, I was pleased to see a diagram with both bottom and top measurements of the trash cans. The bottoms would sit in my drawer, and while the top measurements were larger than the drawer space, they were smaller than the drawer opening. Nice as far as garbage cans go. Seems like a good large capacity, and you can use any garbage bags. Exterior is nice looking, a black stainless steel finish. Foot pedal seems like it takes more pressure to open than my last one, but maybe its because its new. You can lock the lid in open position if you push all the way back.. Michele. The soft finish on the bronze exterior looks great while also being "fingerprint-free." One thing to note is that the custom fit Songmic trash bags don't fit this model as well as generic non-branded trash bags. If you want the lift handle for the removable trash can to be outside the trash bag/acessible, then using the Songmics trash bag means the lid to the trash will be left ajar. If you choose to cover the lift handle with the Songmics trash bag, then the trash can lid is left just slightly raised. Never thought I'd review a trash can but the big one is the exact size of our favorite (13 gallon?) kitchen trash bags, and since there is a liner in the can, you can dress the bag to tuck inside the can instead of hanging out from under the lid, so the can in your kitchen will look exactly like the one in the picture, even with a bad in it.
