These lights are awesome. They are only 1/2” thick and fit under the kitchen cabinets perfectly. Cannot see them when they are off. They light up instantly when motion is detected. I put these under my kitchen cabinets and behind my toilets so we don’t have to get blinded by the overhead light in the middle of the night. I would’ve given these five stars, but the bottom of my cabinets would not hold the two-sided tape in place. They fell down fairly quickly, so I ended up having to screw the metal strips into the bottom of my cabinets. It wasn’t difficult, but was obnoxious that something simple turned into an hour long task involving power tools. I am very pleased with the results, so I still recommend the product. There was one thing that I figured out before it was too late. There’s a sticker on the light bar that when removed will reduce the motion sensor to only working in the dark. Obviously this is great for behind the toilets or closets, but would not work for under cabinets if you want to be able to light your work area while cooking. So I would advise you to leave the stickers on for cabinets or things you need to activate the sensor when it isn’t dark, but remove the sticker if you have spaces that only need to be lit in the dark. Thankfully I figured this out before I took the stickers off the ones for the cabinets. I was able to put the ones I took the stickers off of behind the toilets so everything is fine. These lights blew me away. First, they are bright even though it says low wattage. Secondly, they are exceptionally light in weight, so I was able to use double sided tape and it adhered nicely. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very cool little light bars. I like that there are 2 in the package, and that the remote control included will control both of them. You don't even have to aim the remote at the light bars, which is great if you're placing the bars in an area where they will be hidden behind something. You can mount them to your wall or surface using sticky tape or screws, and both of these materials are included. The downside is that each bar uses 6 AA batteries, which can get quite expensive replacing those batteries if you will be using your lights a lot, but you can buy rechargeable batteries for the bars if you prefer. You can leave the lights on white, or you can blend the red, blue, and green to find your perfect custom color (and save that color to go straight to it next time), or you can select the "fade" function which will cycle through all of the colors. I LOVE IT! I'm so thrilled with this purchase right now. I just installed the 5-bar set and it's the lighting solution I've been dreaming of for my kitchen! The light is SO WARM and INVITING! I love it; it's perfect for what I needed and matches the warmth of the bulbs in my kitchen pendants over the island. I originally avoided plug-in lights because I was worried about wires showing and it not looking good or clean. No issues here. They provided more than enough wire and mounting clips, which allowed me to secure the cords in multiple places and keep it clean and visually neat. I used 3 of the bar lights for the under cabinet area and two above, as uplights. Ordered on Monday; received on Friday, installed on Sunday. I have just ordered an additional 30" jumper cable directly from the manufacturer at PureOpticsLED .com, so that I have enough length to light the upper left hand corner above the fridge too, as shown in my last photo. I only just realized a week or so ago that there are gaps between the cabinets - and between the cabinets and the side walls, that have allowed me to thread the longer cables (I've used the 72" one on the right, where you see the uplight in the photos). Awesome find. The additional 30" I've ordered will connect to an existing 30" cable - with the help of a jumper extender that came with the order (x2). This is a great product. I look forward to enjoying it for years to come. It was well-packaged and came with a cardboard piece to help you measure from the front of your cabinets and determine the 2" mark from the ends of the bars, to install the mounting clips. So, incredibly helpful. Helped get everything lined up exactly the same all the way across. Which reminds me, I better go peel off the protective film on the bulbs. Thank you for this awesome product, I'm so glad I found it!!! --------------EDIT, DAY 2----------------------------- The AC adapter, the part you actually plug into the wall, makes a weird electrical whirring sound when you dim the lights. So basically, every setting from 1-9 makes this sound. 10, full brightness, does not. As a result, I will be keeping it on full blast at all times because I am not in the least bit comfortable with a loud and strange electrical whir coming from an outlet. Not good.
