[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As i was looking for it… I went to several stores, I saw several brands and Fridigare was the only brand with a roomy model. Look for a slatted freezer on the door and this was the only one that had it. The other freezers have plain doors, without space to store. HUGE freezer! Lots of room but doesnt take up a ton of floor space (its tall!l. I like the temperature display on the outside of the door for easy viewing. I wish it had 1 more shelf as I can only stack things so high before they tip over. I'll just look for some metal baskets to put stuff in. If you buy this and it says it's on backorder, dont worry...ours actually arrived the day they originally said it would when I ordered it a couple weeks ago (no delay). Works well. No Handle on door which makes it VERY hard to open. I am a small person, when I pull on insert on side door to open, the freezer literally slides out, like it’s on ice skates. I pondered long and hard between this freezer and the chest freezer because I was being cheap. So glad I spent the extra money to purchase this upright frost free garage ready freezer. It fits nicely in the space designated for it in my garage and I have room to store things on top. At the time of purchase I thought it was going to be too big for a household of two, but it is perfect. Delivery was awesome, but if you want them to remove the freezer from the box you will have to pay extra for that service. I wasn't aware of that so the task was left to me. I followed the instructions provided via text to leave it unplugged for 24 hrs. I also followed the instructions provided by GE to not store anything in the freeze for 4 hrs after plugging it in. Since it is in my garage I can not comment on any issues with it being noisy. I love my freezer and would strongly recommend it to any and every one. You will not regret the purchase. We were pleased to find an upright freezer shipping right away after all of the increased demand. The freezer works just fine although the door is harder to open. It sure does keep a tight seal as a result. The bottom shelf plastic housing cracked right away but it is still functional. Not sure if that crack was causes because of the weight of frozen goods or poor quality....Delivery guys were super nice but after seeing the back of the freezer I figured out why I had to chase the drivers down to hand them a tip.
