We first added this flooring to our kitchen with all white cabinets but I liked it so much that we changed the flooring in our entire house to this floor! We now have a dog and he does scratch the hardwood but the scratches blend into the floor. Love this flooring and found it cheaper here than elsewhere. We have the tobacco color.. Anjelica. I Just installed this floor so I can’t speak to the durability of it just yet. I have a very active Schnauzer and 9 year and it’s been great and super easy to maintain. Installation was a breeze (a local contractor installed it) and ordering from wayfair was amazing (ordered 800sq feet). We did three rooms on the main level. The first picture is with natural light for reference. Planks are a good width with decent thickness. We love this flooring because of the thickness, durable wear layer, appearance and price. During our selection process, we learned about the importance of the wear layer (not just the overall thickness.) Many big box stores offer 5-8mm thick flooring, but most only offer a 10-12 wear layer, which is fine, but the higher the wear layer, the more durable. So this Blakewell vinyl floor tile, at 7.5mm thick and with a high 20 mil wear layer is more like a commercial grade /durable floor, and the price cannot be beat. Other flooring we looked at with 20 wear layer were closer to $8-12/sq ft and cost prohibitive for our budget. We are using this for a rental property so we wanted something extremely durable, great looking and easy to maintain. We ordered several color samples and decided on the Monticello color as it wasn’t too light, wasn’t too dark for our preferences. The delivery company was great and stayed in communication with us. We upgraded to “room of choice” placement by the delivery company and I’m so glad we did - these boxes are compact but heavy, and this definitely saved our backs! I strongly suggest requesting “in room placement” for your delivery. The one confusing issue was that the boxes are packaged as Johnson Hardwood and do not mention “Blakewell.” So that threw me off at first during the delivery, but the item number and color description on the boxes matched, and we opened a box before they offloaded all of the boxes just to confirm. The room in the photo is approximately 27’x14’. My husband installed it all in one full day, including some tricky cuts around a stone fireplace. The floor walks very solid and does not sound hollow at all - it has a nice, thick backing. It also has a nice texture and is easy to clean. We installed this over an MDF subfloor. Very High Quality. Used 2500 sf or so and is beautiful. Very pleased. Long planks are hard to install (but all long planks are difficult).
