The item is very heavy. It is compressed laminated wood. It took about an hour to put it together. The most challenging part was adjusting the hinges on the doors. There was no directions on how to do this. Thank goodness for YouTube! Originally the doors wouldn’t shut and we’re not even but after adjustment, they all work great. The tv stand came just as the picture and in a reasonable time after ordering. I recommend at least 2 people to build, as you have to hold down tracks, move and rotate the large tops, etc. It took less than 3 hours to build with 2 people. All of the wood pieces came labeled, but all of the screws came mixed in one bag, but not difficult to differentiate. Some of the pieces didn’t have predrilled holes towards the end of the steps ( for the drawer tracks) but it wasn’t difficult screwing in and making your own holes.
