I needed a new set of dishes and really wanted a white set, as I think it makes food look even better on the plate or in the bowl. I also wanted something dishwasher, microwave and oven safe and these supposedly are. I’ve used them and washed them and have been satisfied. They’re beautifully crafted, and you can tell they are a quality made item. They are made in Germany and it shows. The details are beautiful. The bowls are quite shallow; for a simple little bit of soup with a sandwich, a little salad, or a little pasta, it will work. They will not work with cereal, so as long as you know that going in, you will not be disappointed! These are truly a dinnerware set, and the bowls are not for breakfast cereals. I am a family of five and is this set fits us very well, with some extra. They were also packed very safely so no plates or bowls were broken upon receiving, thankfully. We use them every day, but they are nice enough to be put away and only brought out for special occasions, also. I haven’t had a set this nice in my entire adult life, so I am very happy with them!.
