This is my first high-end porcelain dinnerware purchase and I am extremely pleased to be part of the Villeroy & Boch family. My eyes seemed to have deceived me upon opening the packaging for these bowls- I expected larger bowls at the 22oz mark- maybe 30% larger but not about to hold a grudge. The fact these are non-glazed makes them look expensive, I just hope they are not susceptible to staining/eroding. Expensive, but the price point is fair IMO given the durable quality, advanced material, and luxurious feel. I chose to buy white/black plates, rice bowls, and pasta bowls all in one shot sight unseen and glad I did. I shopped everywhere online but settled on Villeroy pretty quickly. I ORDERED two sets of these, one in the Blue and one in the Green , i bought them on two different orders back to back, and one person who filled the order just mailed the blue set without air pillows or bubble wrap, and the green set was mailed in a box with air pillows and bubble wrap, well the blue ones arrived broken and the green set are fine, BUT why did any of them need to break, I would of rather had the set then the refund, and its just unnecessary to have anything broken when as I can see there are ways to ship these without any breaking, thank you.
