We are very pleased with the newest version of Cuisinart coffee maker. We had the previous version for several years before it gave up the ghost. I read many reviews that had me worried after I ordered it, so I saved the box in case I had to return it. But so far, I have not had any of the negative issues that other readers posted. Contrary to what I read, I did not find this machine to be too loud. It heats water to a hot temperature. My son used a hot cocoa pod and he had to wait for it to cook down a bit , because he was too lazy to just add a little milk to it to help it cool down. This machine yields out EXACTLY the same amount of liquid as what I put in it (yes I used a measuring cup just to make sure) and as far as the too weak or too strong of a brew...I tried different flavored pods, and they were true to the flavor of the pods that I brewed...the medium or light.... brewed light, the dark ones brewed a dark strong brew, and it yielded the same amount as the water that I put in....so my conclusion would have to be that other consumers k-pods maybe we’re not the right flavor for them....maybe switch to a light roast or a dark roast k-pod depending on your taste. So far, no issues with it, and perfect for my needs. I hope this review helps others who are reading the negative reviews, I try to be honest, and factual with any reviews I leave, since I also depend on other readers reviews to make my purchases.. This is the best coffee maker I have bought by far. It's insanely quick (no waiting forever and ever for the drip drip drip of that first cup), and it makes me feel much less horrible no longer using the landfill-bound K-Cups. It doesn't hurt that the copper color gives it the appearance of some fabulous Italian cappuccino science lab kit. With that in mind, for those who worry that this machine looks too complicated, don't be deceived: it is so so easy to use, just like your classic drip machine; it just looks way better doing it!. We love our coffee maker. It can make a bit of a mess in the filter area if you over fill the water or coffee grounds. The white is stain resistant. Thank Goodness that I can add a filter to the water tank. It helps and taste great when I have the filter added due to us having well water.
