They are beautiful, bright white background. The pattern doesn’t quite line up but I think it adds to the more whimsical pattern. We used them in the kitchen for a backsplash and on the floor in the powder room. Originally the contractor grouted them white and I didn’t like that look, I like the grayish grout better. These tiles are stunning! I used them in a smallish bathroom, so I was a little worried that they would overwhelm the room but they didn't. They're so pretty in person- we've got loads of compliments and the room isn't even finished yet. Just beware, the black is more of a charcoal color than true black, and it has variations in it.
