Don’t remember reading in description it is NOT recommended to hang on drywall, but by the time I was reading the instructions, I was already committed. A bubble level and drill bit were even included to hang the shelf. I installed by myself (72 yo F) with help from a barstool and trashcan providing support while doing final installation. I used expanding wall anchors and so far it seems stable. The top screws on the wall bracket were hard to reach due to placement and support bracket being in the way, so I took frequent breaks when the screws were not cooperating.
