Overall it’s pretty good. Kind of pricey for the cheap materials but it does give a “grand look” when done. Took about 3 days to build everything. Pay extra attention to the instructions and orientation of the pieces which are sometimes hard to see in the pictures. **Ours in the final photo is still under construction..it needs to be leveled on each side. We also moved the top section close to the ceiling because we are going to build around it and make it into one full wall unit. I did most of it myself until the big pieces needed to be rolled over or stood up and when it came time to put the doors on. I was a little disappointed that one of the 4 units that came in looked like it was damaged and repaired but thankfully customer service offered a solution. Also about 4 of the door handle bolts were too small and wouldn't work. The shipping boxes were a little beat up but the packaging was good inside and it all survived getting to us. This Murphy bed is an ideal choice for small apartments. When folded, it can immediately free up a lot of space for daily activities. The outer panel of the bed is cleverly designed, which can be used as a temporary workbench or for placing items. The side of the bed is equipped with sufficient storage shelves, providing a lot of storage space. Whether it is books, decorations, daily clothes or exquisite jewelry, they can be stored neatly and orderly.

This piece takes quite a while to put together and requires at least 2 adults to do it well. The assembly hardware doesn't fit tighly and easily shows because it is a contrasting color. I do not foresee the bookshelves staying in place with heavy use because the stabilizing pegs are too small for the holes. The swinging feet readily loosen every time you put it up or down. Trust me you need three people. If you don’t use three people, you may wind up in urgent care with a broken finger. This is a 'big boy' entertainment center. Each of the 4 boxes arrived on different adjacent days, and are individually quite heavy. From 80 to 100lbs each. Packaging was so much better than I've ever experienced. The corners, where most damage happens, had solid rubber inserts. I had not one single piece damaged from corner drops. The flat sides, although slightly scuffed, arrived in great shape. I opted to have this built with one of Wayfair's assembly team. It took one guy, just less than 7 hours to put it together, place it in my desired location, and tidy everything up. Of course, the trash is mine to deal with, but my basement living room was returned to it's pre-assembly condition. Lots of wood screws (this is a good thing) rather than those 'post and spin' nuts. The LED lights work just fine without the need to download yet another app. Unit comes with 2 remotes, one for left 'dual' window side, and one for the right 'single' window side. One remote will work both sides. So, hide one from the little ones to keep as a backup. Is it for you? It's big! Tons of room, plenty of storage on the bookshelves and in the glass cabinets. Drawers are sturdy and have ample room for those 'out of sight' items. All in all, I would totally buy this again. This unit perfectly utilized a tiny 8x10 “bedroom” in my 126-year-old house. I use it as a multi-purpose guest room (for one) and craftoffice area. It’s super resourceful and space-saving which I love and wouldn’t have otherwise conceived would be possible given how tiny the room is. That being said It’s a great deal for what you get, but what you get is a fully occupied weekend for AT LEAST two people, and that’s if you’re familiar with assembling furniture, which I am. This was hands-down the most tedious and time-consuming piece I’ve ever assembled—however, I expected that to be the case and prepared myself for it. I would advise separating all the parts by step (hardware especially) beforehand to prevent stupid mistakes like using screws on step 37 that were meant to be used on step 13. Every detail matters. I am single but I can see how this project could potentially end in divorce. All in all, it’s a great piece for the money—just prepare yourself for not just hours, but DAYS of labor. Highly recommend for the patient DIY folks. The instructions aren’t great but they rarely are. Fortunately there are QR codes on each step which link to videos showing the guys in the factory assembling it.
