Pro's, this tub is a great value. Lots of nice features for such a competitive price.
Con's, a few design flaws did diminish this product's appeal.
Flaw #1, the drain assembly will bump into the tub frame if assembled plumb. It is a known issue according to the supplier. I was told that I should cut out a notch in the frame like others have done to make it work without undue plumbing acrobats.
Flaw 2, the upper lip or shelf of this tub is designed so that your shower water routes beyond any shower curtain along the wall and to the rear of the tub onto the floor. Aftermarket water blockers are of little use whereas applying just a small bead of silicone was just enough to rout the water back into the tub easily.
Flaw #3, this tub can hardly hold water. The first drain assembly was electroplate and poorly designed. It lacked needed weight to drop down and seat tightly and the adjustment screw did little to compensate for the poor materials. Our plumber instinctively tightened the drain to compensate for its inability to hold water and that only displaced the hardware and distorted the fiber based tub drain itself. We were told to install a second drain assembly which was the exact same version as the first but in stainless steel. This drain assembly did little good also.
Our plumber ended up purchasing a aftermarket push-button drain assembly just so we could use the tub as it was intended to be used.
