Nickel gap wainscoting offers a clean-line, modern take on shiplap with an interlocking tongue and groove profile so they don’t overlap at all. The tongue fits in the groove, once installed on a surface, the boards have a gap between them, so you don’t get warping that causes shiplap boards to look crooked or uneven. Looks so good! I’m a rookie when it comes to stuff like this, but this wasn’t so hard to install. We made some mistakes but it still looks fantastic. It comes in single planks- the picture shows three, but it’s all separate planks you lay on top of each other and they make the perfect spacing. We used liquid nail and hammered nails in since we don’t have a brad or nail gun. Gun would make this job even easier, but you live and learn. We painted after and it looks awesome. Couple planks came in damaged, (and boxes looked kind of roughed up when I got them) but Wayfair was awesome with their customer service. Super happy.. Jennifer. I really like this tile. I scrapped my popcorn ceilings but it still looks really bad. I wanted something to cover up what’s left of the popcorn. The only reason I didn’t give the tile 5 stars is because I need to paint them (they look like styrofoam) and that they are fire resistant. This is really thin styrofoam with a design of wood printed on one side. Just like a styrofoam cup. It takes more glue than you think even though very light. I used liquid nails. At first I just put around the edges as they are raised, but they didn’t stay up. So I had to put more like pictured. Even a new box cutter was not sharp enough for a clean edge, so I used scissors to trim. I will have to caulk the raw edges for a clean look tho. Easy to work with. Looks good and if you have an ugly ceiling, I would recommend to try. Four packs to a box. I used two ( half) for my small bathroom. Will use the rest on closet ceilings, I think.
