I was looking for polyester bath towels because I'm tired of cotton towels that fade and fall apart. Polyester is a more durable fabric and is hypoallergenic, but there isn't much of a selection of towels made from this material. I couldn't decide between the Galligan Microfiber Bath Towel and the Palko Luxury Hotel and Spa Bath Sheet, so I bought both of them to compare. Turns out, they are both made by the same company, JML.
I like both towels, but they both have different qualities.
The Palko towels have a terry cloth weave which makes them feel much softer like a blanket. They are also $6 cheaper for a set of two, so they are a great choice if you are on a budget. I think they would be good to use as baby blankets because they are super soft and fluffy.
The Galligan towels have a standard weave and look much neater when folded up. If you are looking for beach towels, these would be the ones to buy because they won't hold sand like the fluffier Palko towels. These are not as soft, but they feel silky and smooth. I also like the sky blue color much more than the blue Palko towels. They both have loops for hanging up, but this towel's loop seems to be of better quality. I think they are worth the extra $6 because they are better looking towels.
Overall, they are both great towels. If you want durable, antimicrobial, hypoallergenic towels, then either one is a great choice.. Amber. Rocky Point, NC. 2019-07-17 15:55:12
