The bed is nice, but I wish I had paid attention to the height of the headboard- you can even see it if you stand pillows up against it. I think it seems sturdy and seems to be sturdy. Assembly was a bit difficult because initially we ended up putting legs on the wrong side and the side rails upside down. This could be avoided with better labeling. Overall we are happy with the bed, but wish I could buy an extension to make the headboard taller. We purchased this in two sizes. They have performed different, so I am going to review each independent from each other. This purchase was for a king bed. It went together relatively easily, and I did it by myself. It probabaly took less than two hours. The metal is sturdy, the pieces went together well (some of the screws are tight and I needed a few breaks between - but that’s a good thing!). It has been used for over two years now and has held up great! No scratches, little to no squeaking, no slats falling outloosening, etc. I am happy with the quality and price point.
