I put these under my kitchen cabinets and behind my toilets so we don’t have to get blinded by the overhead light in the middle of the night. I would’ve given these five stars, but the bottom of my cabinets would not hold the two-sided tape in place. They fell down fairly quickly, so I ended up having to screw the metal strips into the bottom of my cabinets. It wasn’t difficult, but was obnoxious that something simple turned into an hour long task involving power tools. I am very pleased with the results, so I still recommend the product. There was one thing that I figured out before it was too late. There’s a sticker on the light bar that when removed will reduce the motion sensor to only working in the dark. Obviously this is great for behind the toilets or closets, but would not work for under cabinets if you want to be able to light your work area while cooking. So I would advise you to leave the stickers on for cabinets or things you need to activate the sensor when it isn’t dark, but remove the sticker if you have spaces that only need to be lit in the dark. Thankfully I figured this out before I took the stickers off the ones for the cabinets. I was able to put the ones I took the stickers off of behind the toilets so everything is fine. I needed lights on my back stairs. They were pitch dark at night. I had a motion detector light at the top of the stairs but it did not light them. These LED step lights do the job. My husband a diy’er installed them. They are AC not ACDC. Do not need a transformer. The picture shows everything he he used except 16 gage electrical wire. Not difficult for an experienced person. The dark area on the stairs has no lights. We will be buying another set unless we can get them individually. He also installed a photocell switch to turn lights on at dusk automatically and off at dawn. Otherwise light will day on until you manually turn them off.. Vanne. This is high quality light tape. It has a very good adhesive and the LEDs and other components are covered with silicone rubber. These should be very durable. I used these in my closet. The first motion sensor did not work. I received a second one that works great in a couple of days. I will order more of these for other uses around my house. As with any light tape, if you cut it to various lengths and need to connect more wires, you need to have a soldering iron and the right type of solder. Not much skill is really required.. steven. These little lights are great. We have them in the linen closets, coat closet, and above the breaker box. I did not want to screw them into the walls so I used removable tape (e.g. 3M). The lights can be a bit blinding so they were strategically placed to better meet our lighting needs.
