The new shipment did arrive with all the parts, but we also noticed some chipping and damage on the side. At that point, we decided to keep it because we were tired of going back and forth. I was going through something and had to start my life over again and was sleeping on an air mattress for over 6 months. I ordered a mattress, bed frame and nightstands. I had previously ordered the mattress and slept on it for years so went for it again. It is so comfortable especially for people like me that likes a little firm but after time it will soften a little. I cannot feel any movement when my partner moves or gets out of bed. While I had high expectations from the bed, and the color is beautiful, the assembly was extremely difficult. There are multiple parts and instructions aren’t the best. It is unnecessarily complicated and it took us hours to fix the bed. We ended up getting scratches on the footboard but the replacement parts were taking too long to arrive. Eventually, we decided to call someone to help finish the bed which added extra cost. Definitely not worth the price, think before you buy. We are now stuck with the bed as disassembly would be a pain. Also, there is a warning for cancer with the materials. I returned a different bed on wayfair due to same warning and poor materials/ instructions. I wish this would be clear on wayfair website before we purchase these items. Nice and sturdy. It took us awhile to build; it is fairly involved because it's got a lot of infrastructure (which is a good thing if you're looking for something hearty). The wood is def darker than in the picture, but I appreciated that since it matches the rest of the bedroom furniture more closely. Worked with Wayfair and the supplier when two side rails of the same type were sent. The storage units roll freely, unattached to the bed itself and can go deep under the bed if pushed too far.
