These are nice. I was looking to replace the cheap set I had from college. I really liked the idea of the black steel and the hammered handles go with our flatware. Overall, they have a nice weight to them and are solid knives, very sharp. I could tell the difference from my old knives right away. We cook a lot, so these will get a lot of use and need to hold up. However, after two months, they have already started rusting. I handle them properly after use, I don't soak them and I dry them right away. To see these spots now is disappointing, because they would be really good otherwise.. Cory. When they arrived they were in pristine condition ..they were well packaged.. there was no movement during the shipping process at all... they were perfect !! The first thing that you see is this gorgeous wooden box ...the weight of the entire set is substantial.. even without seeing them I knew I had made the right decision ...opening the box was wonderful they are actually larger than I anticipated!! The photos in the sale listing do not do these knives Justice ...these are big beautiful steak knives .the handles are solid ,the cutting surface is extraordinary ,the weight that these knives have surpasses anything Ive ever owned.. when you hold this Viking steak knife in your hand you know that youre holding a knife!! .. unlike most of the wannabe knock-offs !
