I really love these chairs. They were easy to put together. The cushion does not stain. I’ve had many kids eat various types of foods on them and it’s been easy to wipe up. It’s cloth material so it was surprising when I could just wipe up the stuff. I’m not a fan of the way the wood looks. It has that chalky look to it and I thought it would just be a solid oak color. They’re very lightweight so I’m able to flip the chairs over onto my table to sweep and mop underneath my table. They’re very sturdy and all in all besides the wood color I like it.. Helen. I’m giving 4 stars for the customer service not the product. I bought the chairs in the walnut color, but they look nothing like the photos online. They are very orange and I was expecting a medium to dark brown. Additionally, if anything touches the seat it’s going to immediately stain and there is no cleaning them and they smell like chemicals. I went to process the return online but it wanted to charge me $100. I called customer service and asked them to please waive the charge for my return since the product was drastically different from what is advertised and they honored it. I wouldn’t suggest this product but will continue to purchase from wayfair because of my positive experience. The chairs are beautiful and well made. The packaging box looks roughly handled. But the chairs are not damaged. They are obviously pretty strong. The bottoms of the chair legs have pads to protect the floor. The floor protectors are a little misaligned but they do not show when the chair is upright. Only negative I would say is that the back, which is not padded, is low and not very comfortable if you are sitting a little slumped. But it is fine if sitting up straight. They are well worth the sale price. But they are not so wonderful that they warrant the original price.
