I bought one of these chaises 7 years ago (the one with the cushion). It’s still perfect after all this time. No rust or broken parts. It’s still just like new. I know this bc I finally bought a second one recently. And wow…they look like twins. Nothing has changed in 7 years…which to me is refreshing (if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it)!! It has a shorter seat base. So finding an extra thick cushion that fits is a tad hard. There are plenty of options that fit but they’re a couple of inches narrower and a bit thinner. I wanted a super thick cushion at 6”. And I wanted it the same exact width as the chair at 23” wide. I wanted it to feel luxurious. So I bought a 6” ‘Latitude Run’ cushion and put a blanket at the feet so you don’t see it hanging a tad past the base…problem solved. That cushion is unbelievably cushy and soft. And having the cushion a tad longer makes it so so so comfortable. So something that was almost negative became a positive. This chair is so luxe. It reclines so easily with 5 adjustments and the wheels make it easy to move around, which my daughter moves all the time. So wheels are a plus!! It’s a heavy, solid iron piece. The price is reasonable and this piece will look good for a lifetime. So many rattan-looking pieces won’t. They often unravel over time, esp if the corners get nicked. How lovely! I got a great Labor Day deal on these. Much less expensive than getting a chair that comes with cushions. I ordered cushions from Meridian (third set from them-highly recommend) and the total was less. They do have parts that need to be assembled which will decrease longevity as compared to fully welded units. The price reflects this. The fully welded may cost up to 1500 or more per chair. I can update after a year as to the durability. I can already say much of the screws and such will need replaced which is fine since the aluminum should not rust. The directions are different as the diagram and written down not match. The diagram was the correct version. With some patience and organization of the parts this is not terribly difficult. I even put the first one together by myself. Impressively, not parts were missing and I ordered 4. So far I believe this was a good value purchase. Update: All of the hardware rusts almost immediately. This can be replaced at the local hardware store with proper galvanized screws and such. This chaise is well designed, sturdy, and comfortable. It was not hard to assemble, BUT, instructions could have been clearer. Images are small, and it would have been good to get an overview of how each piece fits into the whole. So, I put things on backwards a couple times and had to take apart. Still, not terrible.
