We love how easily it converts to expand its sleep area, so you’re always ready for overnight guests. This bed is made of iron and features an open frame with a clean spindle design. It has a curved headboard and arms and straight legs, with folding legs on the trundle. A box spring is not required. We recommend using a twin mattress no thicker than 8 inches for the bottom trundle unit.

It’s pretty. It is metal so it’s kind of clunky. I bought 12” mattresses but that’s too big for the trundle. It goes under but it’s such a pain. So make sure you get 10” or less mattresses or you’ll have the same problem I do.. Anonymous. Tue Mar 11 2025
