We are very pleased with the newest version of Cuisinart coffee maker. We had the previous version for several years before it gave up the ghost. I love the design, but the carafe is huge. It's difficult to wash in a small sink trying not to let it hit the faucet. But not everything is perfect. Coffee-wise, the drip method is great, but pour over option, not so much. It does make great iced coffee. Since it boils the whole water, it takes a little longer than typical coffee makers. It's worth the wait. But it's fun to watch the water boil, too. Decades ago, I used to own a boiling type (not DeLonghi) like this, and I loved it, too. Weighing pros and cons, pros outweigh.. It's insanely quick (no waiting forever and ever for the drip drip drip of that first cup), and it makes me feel much less horrible no longer using the landfill-bound K-Cups. It doesn't hurt that the copper color gives it the appearance of some fabulous Italian cappuccino science lab kit. We love our coffee maker. It can make a bit of a mess in the filter area if you over fill the water or coffee grounds. The white is stain resistant.
