Set aside 5 hours to build this thing. Even using power tools it took me quite some time to build. Not a fan of the drawers attaching with just a hole. I have not been able to get the bluetooth to show up on any phone to pair. My son really wants to use the app to control the LED light strip. Maybe it's defective? Edit/Update for anyone else having this issue: The instructions tell you to pair with a bluetooth "Triones" and to install happy lighting. Even provides the qr code in the book to install this app. It seems that this vendor maybe changed their light strips to a different brand. This bed works perfect for my son. I will say that it was quite difficult to put together though. Many of the screws did not line up great, making it a frustrating build. I read reviews and was pretty intimidated when I started building, but everything went well. I had all of the correct parts, and I found the directions clear. This is a great bed, easy to build, sturdy, and the color is lovely. Our youngest loves his new big boy bed. We love all the storage for a small room. We also appreciate the drawers being on casters so that it’s easy to move them out to vacuum under the bed. I have a few minor gripes: figuring out the placement of the slats was awkward (it has improved from an earlier version of a similar bed, where each slat had to be screwed in; this one is easier). It would help to have guide marks on the frame as to where the slats should go. When the bed is finished, screws on the headboard are visible above the pillow. I don’t know why they’re not facing the back of the headboard. Lastly, I wish there were a cover for the drawers so that the things stored inside don’t get easily dusty. PACKAGING great- everything arrived with no damage. Nice looking bed overall and for the price it is a good deal. HARDWAREASSEMBLY came with all the necessary tools which was a nice surprise. It was fairly easy to assemble. We did end up with one screw that had too much powder coatingpaint so it wouldn’t allow you to screw the sides of the headboard in. They did not provide an extra screw to be able to swap out. Took a little effort but we were able to make it work. They provide you with 2 corner protectors but the adhesive sticks better to the red peel-off cover than to the part itself or the bed. MATTRESS we have a 13” thick mattress. If you have a mattress 11” or less it will slide right under the headboard. STABILITY a little iffy. Probably okay for a child but a teen or adult seems like they need to carefully sit down. We bought 2. They were a long assembly. They are nice though. Seem to be good quality. The drawers hold quite a bit and there’s plenty of open storage behind the drawers.
