We need a new king size mattress for our bedroom. Although the version we bought is the "soft" side of the firm memory foam line, it is definitely quite firm. That is not a criticism, but rather, information in case you are looking for a "soft" memory foam. This is comfortable but not soft. I struggled a night or two with the firmness; after that, smooth sailing. I don't wake up through the night looking for a comfortable position and my back doesn't hurt in the morning.
