We’re raising our special needs grandson who’s really good at spilling and wetting everything he comes in contact with, so we’ve always had to protect our furniture with waterproof coverings. Although they were waterproof, all have been very uncomfortable to deal with. They shift and make unpleasant noise every time you move. When i saw that Wayfair had these - and i love the quality of everything I’ve bought from them - I figured I’d try them out and bought one for every mattress in our home (2Q & 2K). I’m so glad I did!! These seem wonderful! They’re very easy to install despite the size of the mattresses; they fit very well; they zipper very nicely… and best of all, they don’t look, feel or sound plastic/waterproof. I have very sensitive, dry skin and usually prefer bedding with a soft, silky feel so that my skin does not catch against the fabric. For that reason, this duvet cover is not my personal favorite. The material has a somewhat inexpensive feel and also tends to trap heat, which I do not like. However, it has washed very well, which was extremely important to me, and for the price it works perfectly well in my guest room. It is comfortable enough and does the job as an everyday duvet cover set. It’s what I expected! I bought in 2 different colors. I do not care about the wrinkles in it my kids are young and don’t care. It is very light weight and fluffy that’s all my kids wanted. I did wash them first before I put them on. There wasn’t a smell but you should always wash bedding before laying in it. These bunk bed comforter sets are so cozy. I bought them because making the beds was difficult with regular sheets. There are zippers on both sides and it’s so much easier to just zip it up to make the beds.
