Downsized to a studio apartment with limited kitchen and this hot plate finishes it off wonderfully.

In a pinch, great product to replace my smooth top oven burners temporarily.

The item I received was DEFECTIVE, USED and REPACKAGED. After requesting to return this item, I received the following reply from Nathan (Wayfair Resolution Department). Nathan wrote: "When I check, the product works as expected. Please know that the temperature range shown on the induction cooktop does not represent the temperature of the food you are cooking since they are different. Hope this answers your question and let us know if you need more help." I assumed the item would be new...WRONG. I assumed the item would not be defective... WRONG. I assumed I would be able to return a defective, used and repacked item...WRONG.

Oh my gosh. We purchased this hot plate for use during a kitchen remodel when our stove was unavailable. Having no previous experience with induction cooking, we were shocked at how FAST this little burner works. Faster even then our gas stove. We did have to purchase special cookware because our All-Clad non-stick packs were not magnetic. OH WELL.. it was worth it. We may even just use this more than the stovetop in the future. Seriously, we marvel every time we use it. If our gas stove wasn't so new, we would definitely want to purchase a full induction range.
