The ordering process was fine.
According to WAYFAIR It should have arrived on 1/13. And according the the email telling me it had been shipped, gave the same delivery day.
The afternoon of 1/13 I checked the tracking, and it had been moved to 1/14. The afternoon of 1/14 I checked the tracking again to see it was at a FEDEX facility several hours away….but still said it would be here by end of day (but still not “out for delivery”). Later that evening I checked again, and it had been moved to 1/15, which is when it actually arrived….propped up agains my mailbox post, beside the road, at my driveway. I live in a very rural area, and can’t see my mailbox from my house. We had about 5 inches of snow that had been plowed into a tall bank between the road and the mailbox (where the box had been left) so I had to get over the snow…to the box, and get it to the car. Im almost 70 years old….my husband had just had knee replacement surgery, so couldn’t help.
Our driveway was passable. They could have brought it to my door without issue.
I understand this is not the fault of wayfair….BUT…wayfair chooses to use fedex.
FEDEX is famous for all manner of stupid things..including dumping a load of packages down a creek bank, where one of my neighbors rescued as many packages as she found, and delivered them to the addresses in her own car (she did report it to fedex).
They have also delivered items (mine and others that i know) to wrong addresses, posting photos of the item on a random porch…not at the appropriate address.
I’d really appreciate it if you might consider using a more reliable delivery service…like UPS.. Fredrick. Burnsville, NC. Wed Jan 15 2025
