Beautiful knife block set! Looks great in my kitchen!

I was super excited about my knives until today. I was looking at different sizes, went to pull out what turned out to be the sharpener and it literally fell apart. Here’s a picture, the actual sharpener fell down into block holder and is still there. It looked Rusty but I’d only washed them once when I first got them.

I did find the knife block set very attractive! I originally purchased this because I wanted a light brown block with stainless steel knives. It looks very attractive in my kitchen, but honestly the knives which are the steak knives do not seem like very good quality to me. I cannot cut regular things like an apple with these knives. They’re not a heavier better quality like the previous ones I had. Cutting with this set, does not seem as easy as the quality is not as good as I had originally expected.
