Gibson Elite Contempo 16 Piece Dinnerware Set, Service for 4 (Set of 16)

love the dishes but we’ve been using them for about 2 weeks and one cracked in the dishwasher. annoyingly i ordered these while our kitchen was renovated so we are past the 30 day return.

This is a very classy looking set, but I returned because the edges and base are not glazed. After seeing these dishes in person and reading more reviews that warned of easy chipping and breakage, I didn't want to take a chance.

I already own one set of these dishes purchased from a department store. This set seems to not have a final glossy finish that my original set has.

A little heavy but love the look

UPDATE THESE PLATES CANNOT BE PUT IN MICROWAVE l! THEY GET SO HOT THEY HAVE BURNT ME! IF YOU ARE GOING TO USE THEAE IN THE MICROWAVE DO NOT BUY THEM. They are made with reactive clay which gets extremely hot! Even out of the dishwasher I need to open the door and let them cool for over an hour and still hot to touch. Beautiful dish set. Solid and durable. They have weight and a thickness to them. Rustic look and feel. They stack and wash well in the dishwasher. I have 2 sets. The mint and the black. I would say the black is more of a slate in colour and absorbs oil and water so even picking them up darker blemishes or temporary marks can appear. This is an everyday set of dish ware . No issues at all with the mint. My only complaint is they do heat up in the microwave and often the plate is hotter than the food.

A lot of imperfections.

I bought two sets because Sunday we have family dinner at my house. I absolutely love them. And the match my newly decorated kitchen.

After having for 1 day, one already broke! Read the reviews before buying!!! Shards got in our food never had this happen before.

Nice looking but only had them for 2 months and one chipped.

My plate cracked inside a toaster oven just warming up at 375F for 5 minutes. The quality of these plates went down and Ill be switching to others.
