This VE zojirushi water heater is all that the claims state. Water is kept very hot. Many different choices to fit multiple uses and needs. As a senior with arthritis, this is especially useful to eliminate boiling water daily and filling thermos etc. I also like that this model is made in Japan. I hope to enjoy using for a long time.

This is so far the best water kettle from this brand. I grew up with this type and will always have it in my house. It has a beautiful melody to let you know when your water is hot and ready and it also gives you options to what temperature you want it at. I love it and will be getting my family and siblings as gifts!

I have to admit that I am biased towards Japanese technology on water boiler and warmer because it's been in their life like forever. I didn't get it in the beginning due to its high price. But after my 6 yr old water boiler broke down, I made up my mind to buy one because I realized I boil water at least 6 times per day (just for making tea or cooking). So far, owning the boiler for two days, I am fully satisfied. The large capacity provides sufficient water for daily use on cooking or making hot drinks. I should have invested in this product earlier ! Pros: It looks much nicer than the photo, very easy to use and doesn't take much counter space(the base isn't big). Cons: Wish it has de-choloride function like some other models.

We loved our old 4L Zojirushi. We had that one for 5 years. Unfortunately, it stopped working after being left plugged in overnight. We were a little nervous about getting a 5L one, but it looks the same, a little bit taller. Very happy about it, so far. Pros: reliable brand, easy to use Cons: no cons
