ZWILLING 10-inch Sharpening Steel

Great addition to the kitchen.

I needed a steel to true up my carving knives in our Florida winter home. I purchased this steel on Wayfair and it is just what I need here. I am very pleased with my purchase/

I always saw this piece of equipment and never knew what it was for and once I learned more about it, I don't know what I did without it! A honing steel is meant to be used to make sure that your blade stays straight so that it stays sharper longer. I read that it is supposed to be used every time you use the knife, but I found that if I do it once a week (usually on Sunday's when I prep my meals for the week), my knives stay sharp for a very long time. I also love this particular honing steel because the handle gives me the perfect angle to hold the knife every time!

Very nice instrument for my beautiful new Zwilling Henckells knives. I'm new with this tool, followed the videos for proper use. Had always used sharpening stones before. Now I know this is necessary for keeping the blade in line, and in tune. I am enjoying using it, and my knives are in great shape. I can always trust the Zwilling name. thanks.

I wish I knew this kind of device existed before! It does a great job sharpening my knives. The video on the website is very helpful to get started. The description of tue item mentioned its oval shape. Well it’s not. Don’t be too surprised!
