Menades 157" Cantilever Outdoor Umbrella

I love this umbrella! So much that I ordered a second one a couple weeks after assembling the first. Instructions were shockingly easy to follow. Everything was well packed in an organized manner and straightforward to assemble once you have an extra hand for mounting the umbrella rod in the base. Game changer this summer. The shade covers our pool so well that I can forgo the extra sunscreen. This umbrella is awesome with its ability to adjust with ease. Only challenge is wind.

This umbrella far exceeded our expectations. The base and umbrella structures are made of quality materials with a well thought out design. There are pockets in the included cover into which you insert a metal rod in order lift the cover to get it on and off. Two additional pockets allow you to store the rod and removable lift crank. The umbrella rotates a full 360 degrees by aid of a foot pedal, but there are four 'stops' at which the umbrella comes to rest. The settings at which you can set the front to back tilt are many. This umbrella also has a side-to-side tilt which is VERY hard to find on an umbrella this large and this reasonably priced. Others we looked at of similar size with all three movement features were nearly 3X the price. The only thing that remains to be seen is how well the fabric holds up over time. We will keep it covered when not in use in order to keep it nicer longer. We were impressed with the construction of the rolling base - it is so well thought out. The included bags to hold sand are made of durable canvas with handles and large Velcro openings, making putting the sand in far less messy than anticipated. These bags have square corners, so they fit into the four base sections perfectly. We put in 400 pounds of sand: two 50 lb bags into each of the four canvas sacks. The umbrella was easy to put together in concept, but you'll want two people to move the large pieces around. Also note that when you begin to crank the umbrella open for the first time, you will need to look inside for additional packing material. They have tied some of the ribs together for ease in set up and shipping so the umbrella won't flop around as you stand it up, but you'll need to remove them so as not to damage the umbrella when you open it the first time. All in all, this is a great product and we couldn't be more pleased with it. We highly recommend it.

This umbrella is amazing quality! The base has room for plenty of sand (or rocks in our case) and looks great too. The umbrella is so smooth to open and close ~ we expected it to be more difficult to operate. We could not ask for a better umbrella!

Second purchase of this brand mainly due to quality, coverage and functionality. Easy to assemble too!

This umbrella is fabulous and the quality is top-notch. It takes about an hour to unpack and assemble. I am thrilled with so many things about this umbrella: the winding mechanism, the umbrella fabric, the rolling base, and a cover are all included. There are sand bags that will need filling with sand (not included) when you position the umbrella to weigh down the base to ensure stability. Everything about this umbrella is top quality. I highly recommend it and would give more stars if I could!

Reasonably easy to assemble, and high quality materials. All things considered a good value. Stable if you have enoguh weight in the base, and the slide stabalizer rods are a nice addition.

Great base and easy install. The fabric for the umbrella itself seems somewhat lower quality. The mechanical system is really solid though. Overall good value.

Love it. Stands up to the wind nicely and really finishes the space.
