Colonial Locking Wall Mounted Mailbox

This is the third house I have used this mailbox for. It is a solid, quality piece with good capacity. It’s easy for the mailman to drop in the mail through the top slot and easy for me to retrieve via the generous opening.

I was a little concerned it would be huge, but after looking at the photos posted by other buyers, I decided to go for it. The mailbox is well made and just beautiful. As one reviewer said, it is quirky and I find it interesting. A super way to add a special curb appeal. I am very happy with the addition to my front porch and the mailman put mail in it right away.

The key is not removable. It's a real downside of the mailbox.

Terrific mailbox for our Victorian-style city row house. Very solid quality but with that - very heavy. It screws on in the back so the 4 holes on each corner is solely decorative. We caulked the mailbox onto the brick wall to make sure no moisture could seep through and the caulking matched the white mailbox exactly

We are very happy with our new mailbox. Perfect size and holds a fair amount. Looks great and it is secure.

Solidly made and attractive. On days when there is a lot of mail, or larger stuff in the mail (magazines, sale flyers) it gets jammed pretty quickly. It can be hard trying to get the mail out on those days. Sometimes I will need to stuff the mail back up from the slot and take it out that way, instead of trying to fight with taking everything out the front. I also need to be careful that I don't accidentally rip it off of my house on those days, as it can pop off from the back of the screw if you're yanking on the mail and accidentally moving the box around. Still, I like the look of it so much I can put up with that.

Similar to other reviewers I really liked this mailbox, especially the historic look of it. It is heavy, so I went out and purchased longer screws (2") at the recommendation of my contractor. I was able to attach it to my house by myself, being careful to drill the holes in the right place and have them level. Because of the shingles the mailbox is not flush to the house from top to bottom. However, there are two screws at the top corners and two screws inside that are holding it very securely and it looks fine. The decorative hole will probably let in rain so I plan to duct tape some clear plastic over it from the inside to protect the mail. It came with 4 keys.

Love the new mailbox. Very heavy must use all screws. Super sturdy!!

This is a solid, well-constructed and simply gorgeous mailbox; with a classic design but not overly fussy. It holds a goodly amount of mail and it looks just great on our newly painted home!
