Surprisingly sturdy. Has held up for quite a few years so far. The storage boxes do not really keep significant amounts of water out as the metal top warped after a few days in the sun, so best to cover when a heavy rain is expected to keep your cushions dry. the "wicker" (it's wicker look, not real wicker) has held up very well to the sun. I cover and store in winter, but our sun is brutal in summer. Color has faded a little but no cracks or breakage yet in the wicker. Going on 5 years this summer.

This item is poorly made, weak materials, subpar quality on every aspect from building to design, materials and construction (and also quite uncomfortable).
