This product is based on the historic Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse which is located at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay. The Maryland and DC area icon, built-in 1875, and now unmanned, the automated lighthouse remains an active weather station and navigational aid.

This birdhouse is cute - time will tell how well it holds up. We did follow the recommendation to treat it before installing outside. My biggest disappointment is that there is no "easy panel" to remove for cleaning. I think the cleaning access is unscrewing the 4 screws into the bottom - that is not how the description reads in my opinion. Hopefully some birds will make it home!. Mary. Lima, NY. Wed May 07 2025
